Unable to open an ra_local session to URL

Hi all,

   I'm struggling with Tortoise installation. I want to access to a
Unix server from my Windows PC by using TortoiseSVN.
   The program svnserve -d is running in the Unix machine.
   I can browse the repository properly through tortoise at the
following path:
   svn://MyRepositoryPath

   But when I try to diff a file with a previous version, the
following error comes up:
   "Unable ro open an ra_local session to URL"
   "Unable to open repository 'file:///MyRepositoryPath/TheFilePath'"

   Any help will be highly appreciated!!
