Yes, I am well aware of the pain that is windows installer. I create
most of the installs for our group. I use InstallShield but it's just a
front end to building the .msi.

Interesting.

I was asking because I thought I might take a look at it and see if it
was possible to build a 64-bit installer that also included the 32-bit
stuff with the eye to providing a patch. That link does seem to say you
"cannot put files" in the 32-bit folders. I wonder if there is away
around this with a custom action or something.

What tool do you guys use to create the installer?
