Slow and unresponsive system on SVN rename of files on localy encrypted folder

Hi,
I'm using TortoiseSVN 1.5.7, Build 15182 - 32 Bit with Subversion
1.5.5.

My files are normally checked out in a local folder which encrypted
(EFS/NTFS under windows XP).

I just want to report that when using svn rename files, the system
becomes quite slow and unresponsive for a while.
This is especially true for large files (I need to rename 1 to 10 Mb
pdf files).
The disk is busy for 10 - 20 minutes and I can't really view the
folder content during the process.
Only after this time I seem to be able to see files and commit the
rename operation (actual delete/add operation).

Note: The same thing on a non-encrypted folder just works fine.
I would be very grateful for any advice on how to handle this.
Thanks in advance,
Guillaume
