I would suggest that you right click on the folder and revert all the
files that you know you didn't change before you do your commit.
Although, this seems to be a pain. Is it possible to use a standard text
editor to modify your VBA files such as Notepad+, NotePad2, Vim etc?
That won't modify the files if you don't edit them?
