Yep.

People who are looking for a bugfix or a feature, will check the changelog or mailing list before installation.

Same here. I'd read a "What's new/Highlights", but no changelog. This information could be shown during the install.

Defaulting at least to (not show) would save me a mouseclick (uncheck) every few days :)
