Hmmm. Your definition of "problem" and mine are apparently very
different. I expect people to have a rudimentary understanding of the
English language (or whatever language in which the installer appears
for them), and to be able to determine what a word like "changelog"
might mean. A person who cannot figure that out, especially with
regard to a version control product, needs some training; ignorance is
usually a temporary, and correctable, condition. After being told
once, I suspect they'd never have another problem. In fact, had they
been advised of installation procedures, I suspect they would not have
been surprised in the first place.

If a user that doesn't think to *uncheck* a checkbox would be
astonished at having an unexpected changelog displayed, what makes you
think that a user that doesn't think to *check* a checkbox would *not*
be astonished at having an expected changlog missing?
