Sure you can. As long as you're using HTTP or SVN access (not
file:///), it doesn't matter - all 1.x clients & servers are
compatible via the network protocols - you are NOT required to match
client & server versions. Some features may be disabled (merge
tracking), but you can still use it just fine. You will need to get
new WCs though, as the WC format has changed.
