noob question about crashing update

Hi,

This is my first post, i'm new to all the tortoise topic. I'm making an
update from a repository, the update es really big, the problem is that my
internet connection is crashing every certain time. So when it crashes,
tortoise displays a message saying I have to execute cleanup command and
restart all over again.

My question is: is there a way to avoid this? is there a way to start from
the point where the update stopped?
