Hook scripts

Hi,
I would like to check some tests on commited files.
For example: I have comand-line tool check_something.exe and I would
like to use it like pre_commit_hook on client-side.
The tools need a parametr "path and name" of commited file. Is possible
write some variable into "Configure Hook Scripts", wich set the name of
commited files when user is commiting ?
