Sorry Stefan, that's not the same problem.
for instance, if you choose "Update" from the tsvn context menu, than
you see in the window titled
"%path% - TortoiseSVN Update... Finished"
* added files in dark violet
* deleted files in brown
* modified in black (?)
* summary "Completed At revision: %d" in black
...with black background you will see only the added and the deleted files.

ps: I really don't think that hardcoding colors is bad...
