Did you clear the log cache? If the log cache corruption was introduced while you used TortoiseSVN 1.5.2, TortoiseSVN 1.5.3 can't output correct results without rebuilding the cache first. OTOH if you turn of the cache completely, corrupted entries shouldn't affect you.
