Re: Newbie question: Why doesn't Compare Revisions work?

Nothing happens at all. It always fails with any repository and has never worked. My guess is that my 64 bit version of TorsoiseSVN is broken. Either due to 64 bits or due to Vista. Paul Paul Pedriana wrote:When I select two revisions of a file in the Log Messages view and right-click and select Compare Revisions, nothing happens. This happens for any two revisions of any file in the repository. I am doing the same thing listed here: http://justinram.wordpress.com/2006/04/26/windows-subversion-tortoisesvn-compare-two-versions-of-a-file/. My DiffViewer setting is set to the default: TortoiseMerge, but it doesn't work even if I specify the path manually. I am running Vista64 and Tortoise SVN 64 bit with a default install.* show log on file * select two revisions * right-click on one of the selected revisions * choose "compare revisions" --> a progress dialog shows up, fetching the file twice (once for each of the selected revisions), then TortoiseMerge opens up with those two files. If that doesn't work for you: * do you get an error message? * what's the url of that file? * does it not work for all your files?
