Hi Stefan,

Thank you for your response. Though the opening error is coming from an Excel file, the error seems to be associated with the use of SVN. Also, because when I make a copy of the file to the same directory and don't commit it to SVN I can open it.

We don't usually provide support for Excel here. This list is for TortoiseSVN.

anyway: your path seems to be too long. Can't be sure since you blacked out the path in your screenshot, but from the looks of it it appears to be longer than 254 chars which is the max that Excel can handle.
