TortoiseSVN

I just installed TortoiseSVN today and have been trying to use the tool
TortoiseMerge. The program is not responding.

After I enter the base file and my file and click OK, the only file that
appears on the screen is the base file. When I try to click on File,
nothing happens and then I see in the top left corner of the screen that
the program is not responding. I've already restarted my machine but
that did not seem to help. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you.
