A wild guess - the ssh client prompt you with a message (e.g. "the
server's fingerprint is ... will you accept this key?" etc.) but you
can't see this because TSVN does not show it to you (no stdout/err).
So it waits for your response.
The only problem with this explanation is that you should be able to
login using putty just fine.
