Believe it or not: we once had a forum for TSVN. Hosted on tigris.org
(it's as simple as activating it in the admin pages).
But: way too few users used the forum, most of them preferred the
mailing list. Why? Because it's much easier to use your mail program
than open up your browser and refresh every few minutes to check whether
there's something new there or not, whether your question has been
answered yet or not.

And with a good mail client, you have a history of messages too,
including threaded view, sorted by date or whatever you choose.

Yes, I have those good things in my client.  The history is fine until I
change clients.
Most forums I participate in have a "notify" option for topics.
Oh well, you've tried it.  Thanks for the info.
