Adding an identifier

Hello

I'm sure the answer to this question is written somewhere, but I just
couldn't find it; therefore decided to send you an e-mail about it.

What I need to do is to automatically add and update identifiers about
releases in my files. I guess this is called the "id tag". And, I want to
add this tag o my OpenOffice.org (.odt) files.

Is this possible? How should I proceed?
