Merging UTF-8 resource files

Hi,

when trying to merge files with the tortoisemerge.exe application using two Microsoft UTF-8 encoded resource files, copying a block with UTF-8 encoded characters from one UTF-8 file to another UTF-8 file corrupts these characters. E.g. the German "ß" is transferred to an "x".

I did not find any chance of setting the encoding manually. My system is MS Windows XP.

Does anybody have an idea? I would not like to HTML-encode the characters.
