Advantages:

   1. Full control of reading and writing access to all pathes in the
      repository
   2. Repository can not be deleted accidentally.
   3. Not every user can administrate the repository, only those having
      file access.
   4. The repository can be disconnected from the users shutting down
the server, e.g. for repository maintenance.
