SVN taking over my machine

SVN,

Hello Support. First I'd like to say SVN is great! I'm use Tortoise SVN with a
crew working on a game and our repository is about 2G right now. Full of game
art and code. Life is good.

However, when I get an update TortoiseSVN just takes over. I realize the update
might be 15 minutes. Is it possible to do some Sleep(0) and handle Windows
Messages more. I'm using Windows XP BTW. TortoiseSVN 1.3.5, Build 6804 - 32 Bit

I've done a few things to speed this up. Like disable the icons recursively.
I'm not looking for a faster checkout. But just wondering if you can process
messages while getting files too. In the middle of a 2Meg download, still peek
and dispatch messages, and Sleep(0) (yield to other processes).

Let me know if this isn't clear or you need more info. Or if this is the wrong
list and I should be posting to the dev alias. If that's the case please
forward.

And thank you. TortoiseSVN is a great tool!
