File Protocol SVN over 'Remote Desktop Connection'

From: Scott Morris <scott_at_4mation.com.au>

Half because I'm somewhat lazy and half because I don't want to
complicate SVN which has been working wonderfully, I can't be bothered
to set up a proper SVN server using the SVN protocl or whatever it is.

Is it possible to set up a repository on a windows server, and then do
check outs by setting up a Remote Desktop Connection enabling disk
drives thereby hopefully allowing the file protocol to work???

Just wondering if people do this at all, and if there are any
complications I should expect...

Cheers

Scott
