_svn vs. .svn

Hi,
I'm sorry if the problem was reported or discussed somewhere before,
but I couldn't find it in the list archives.

I'm using TortoiseSVN for checking out one of the ASF project built with
maven. The former versions of TortoiseSVN used to store local SVN data
in ".svn" dirs that were ignored during maven builds. The current
versions use "_svn" dirs instead and such dirs are included in maven
builds, also in JARs and WARs. There are also severe troubles with
running maven "clean" goals, as "_svn" are read-only.

Is there a chance to change back to ".svn" with some TortoiseSVN
configuration? Has anyone else noticed such a behaviour?

Any help appreciated :)
