We do use externals in our current repository, but that makes it a little more
complicated to tag/branch (since we have to change the external to point to a
tag or branch)....unless we're doing that wrong somehow. SO, I was looking for
a 'better' solution to just skip directories in a repository that we're not
interested in. I thought an 'exclude directory' during a checkout would
be 'easiest', or maybe even some new form of snv:ignore that does more than
just ignore status. A lot of users are not very svn savvy, so whatever's
simplest has the best chance of being used correctly.

Thanks,
Russ
