Can you give some examples on that? Usually, we don't just tell people
to be quiet but argue with them.
The only post I remember right now where I told someone to give it a
rest is this:

And clearly, I've told a workaround for his issue, I told him that it
wasn't that easy to implement. He still wouldn't give up, so I told him
to. I don't think I was unreasonable there (check the mailing list
archives, not just the ones from TSVN but from the Subversion project
about that same issue, you'll know immediately why I told him to stop).

Sure, if there's a better way, I will listen. But not if people just
don't like something and call that 'absurd' - even though thousands of
people are happy with it and we've spent months for that specific
feature to implement and to get it working.

If you would pay me, I wouldn't have to work at a job from 7 am to 5 pm,
then get home and work on TSVN for free until 10 or 12 pm.

And let us be honest here: you haven't even used TSVN a lot. Otherwise
you wouldn't have suggested a "Status" dialog. I mean, the "Check for
modifications" entry is at the top of the context menu, and it does
exactly what you were asking for.
