Since version 1.3, the MSI installer used seems to have been changed.
I used version 1.2.x on W2k without any problems.
But I could have problems with 1.3.
It (apparently) uses a higher version of Microsoft Windows Installer,
than the one with is standard on Windows 2K.
To upgrade my MSI, I need to get it from the MS website. But they now
have this genuine check. And since I use Firefox, I first need to
download and run this buggy MS check utility (which probably sends way
to much info to MS, than I would hope), before I can download the
installer to install the newer version of TortoiseSVN.
So I need to download this check utility to be able to send private info
to MS, to download and install the installer, which I need to install
TortoiseSVN...
Therefore my question:
- Can TortoiseSVN be packed with the older version of MSI ? (the W2k
version)
- Can TortoiseSVN be packed with a different installer (maybe
InstallShield?)
- Can TortoiseSVN be made downloadable in a different package type? (say
zip)
