Tortoise SVN and Command Prompt

I have just installed Tortoise on my machine. I tried accessing the
repository via the comand prompt using SNV commands but they didn't sem to
work. I noticed there is no svn.exe or anything similar in the program bin.
Do I need to install something else to use the command prompt?
