I don't think I can provide the answers, but I believe the answers to these
questions are important for troubleshooting:

The folder that Tortoise no longer recognizes as a working copy - does it
contain a folder called .svn? (To be a Subversion working copy it must
contain that folder.)

What versions of TortoiseSVN did you upgrade from and to?
