Nice!

But as I understand this, the function works so either tabs, spaces or
smart tabs/spaces is active. Never 'spaces' and 'smart tabs/spaces'
together?

Shouldn't there be a three-state button (e.g., a button with a menu that
shows "Tabs", "Spaces", "Smart") instead?
