TortoiseSVN externals doc & translation

Hi Folks,

i just noticed, that the German translation of "Operative" on the
tsvn:externals property page is probably not correct. Then I looked into
the manual to find some enlightenment and found that the screenshot is
outdated and that this option is not described. I have no idea what it
does. Can someone please shed some light on me?
