About UI: TGit may define commonly used workflows to simplify UI.
Then it can be more user-friendly. This is part of TGit's roadmap.
About libgit2: TGit is moving to libgit2 step by step.
At the moment, init command, get ref list, get hash, ... are already implemented using libgit2.
As libgit2 becomes more mature, TGit will use more libgit2 and use less command line. Concerning the backend, TGit has the same goal.
