Thanks for the advice about about svn:ignore. Somehow this has never been a part of my universe, even though I knew it existed. Now I am having fun adding ignore properties to 100 repositories. Very satisfying. Believe it or not, I've never seen anyone use it, nor been told to use it. But clearly it is handled first class in tortoiseSvn.
