Looking at 1.7.2, the issue still exists.
1) Using a smart card in addition to another cert will get you a prompt for your smartcard password, even though the servers file is using the 'non-smartcard' cert.
2)If you don't have your smartcard inserted you will be prompted to enter it, canceling works in some cases, but the repo browser is unusable without inserting the card (again, the servers file is pointing to the non-smart card cert).
The ssl-client-cert-file value in the servers file is not being used, should a bug be filed?
