I have experienced, that there is a difference between killing the
explorer.exe or closing one of the open Windows Explorer instances from
the 1st tab of the Task-Manager.
In the first case system tray and desktop got empty and remained like
that, so as result Windows was unusable, but in the 2nd case, the
explorer.exe first was killed, but automatically restarted without any
manual doing and Windows was fully usable again.
I'm not sure, what that does mean, but maybe in the 2nd case all work is
done to have the new TSVN version properly running, just a guess.

Additional question: After installing a new TSVN version, is the old
version running properly until Windows is restarted manually later?
