It would be helpful to make all these menu items open a message box first,
with trailing ellipsis. Then someone who is unsure what option to use can
be sure that they will be given the chance to back out of any action
(because a dialog is shown). The message box can give more detail of
exactly what is going to happen including revision numbers or range of
revision numbers, and what items are to be affected (as well as a note on
how to back out changes).

Sorry for replication of these thoughts.
