I can't reproduce that here :(
I've tried right-clicking in the list view, tree view.
Tried selecting the new folder, parent folder of the new folder, parent
folder of the parent of the new folder, a sibling folder of the new
folder, a sibling of the parent folder.
But the selection always was correct.

Can you maybe provide a more detailed recipe on how to reproduce this?
