But Gmane does not store the mails long enough. Due to a setting of the
mailing list, GMane expires the mails after a few weeks (at least it did
last time I checked). So it's not really suited for searching old posts.

Never tried that one.

The reason I chose the google groups is that they're closest to forums.
And many people complained that we don't have a forum for asking
questions, only a mailing list.
