When trying to check the TortoiseSVN md5 files (such as [1]) from
Windows, I get FAIL. If I use md5sum *with the -b switch* and manually
compare the hashes, it's correct.

The problem is the .md5 file doesn't have an asterisk to mark it's
supposed to be a binary file. Text mode on Unix would generate the same
checksum as binary mode, but not on Windows, so the check fails.
Generating the checksums with -b should add the asterisk automatically.
