TortoiseMerge.
I have 2 exactly identically text files, the only difference is that one
of them (call it FILE_A) have 2 last bytes 0x0D0A and other (FILE_B) -
haven't. I compare them in TortoiseMerge, FILE_A at left, FILE_B at
right. Can see that is only difference is one last line, can say "Use
line from left", Save files, Compare again - they identically. But, if
initially FILE_B will in left pane, and FILE_A in right, after "Use line
from left", saving and recompare they are different! any settings, such
"ignore line endings" and "ignore whitespace" have no effect.
