I know, but long Captions tell me nothing at a glance, because they are -
well - long :) and the important information is hidden.

Yes, that sounds great indeed. As an alternative I have thought about making
the diff pane caption a two-liner when the overlay mode is on. This way the
two URLs could be displayed on top of each other instead of side-by-side.
