If it is only for a VS plugin, you don't need a checkbox at all, do you?
Users can set up their IDE with or without the command line option.

The warning dialog needs a bit of care. You probably want ESC to close
both the dialog and TMerge in one hit, and Enter to continue viewing. So
you might have a default button [ View files ] and a [ Cancel ] button.
Sorry Flavio, I didn't look at the patch - you may already have done it
this way.
