First of all: we have never *brushed aside* this. If you would check the
mailing list of Subversion, you would have seen that the single-file
export was added recently and hasn't been there that long.

Single file export in TSVN can be done in various places:
* repository browser: select file, right-click, choose "Save as..."
* log dialog: select revision, select file from list at the bottom,
right-click, choose "Save as..."
* right-drag the file from your working copy to a new location, choose
"export to here" from the context menu.
