Feature Request: take action (and show errors) BEFORE dialog is closed

I am sorry if this has been discussed before.

I just used tortoisesvn for the first time, and what annoyed me a lot is that
every dialog would close before showing the error. So I need to select the same
command again and re-enter all field again, only to see the dialog give me
another error (after it closes), and so on.

A much better approach would be to execute the desired action in response to
"Ok" button being pressed (while the dialog is still open) and show any possible
error messages at that stage. This way if I filled some field incorrectly I will
have a chance to immediately fix it and try again, without re-filling all the
fields in the dialog.

What do you guys think?
I will be willing to implement it myself if you let me.
