Hmm... The terminology used in the configuration dialog contributes to
the confusion:

In the Colors section we have "Added", "Removed" and "Modified".
In the General section we use "Deleted". I think we should use the same
wording and logic in both places.

When you write "deleted" here, do you mean "any diff in the left pane"?

If you do not want to change the functionality of the strikeout I would
suggest changing the wording in the General tab to something like "Use
strikeout for changed lines in the left pane ".
