Commit failed - 501 Method Not Implemented

Hi,

I am using svn 1.4 (apache 2.0.58) with tortoisesvn
1.4 on Windows XP.

After updating svn and tortoisesvn to 1.4 I got
several times the "Commit failed - 501 Method Not
Implemented" error when commiting many files (approx.
40). However, commiting just a few files worked.
Furthermore, commiting many files (100 and more) with
an older client (tortoisesvn 1.3.5) seem to work as
well.

In case of an error the apache log file showed entries
with "Parameter is incorrect. : authentification
failure ... user unknown" and "Multi-author commits
not supported".

After updating I had to add user names in capital
letters because this was required by tortoisesvn
somehow. The above mentioned problem might be related
to this.

Regards,
Stefan
