How would it be with three across the screen:-
Image1, diff, Image2.

If these partially exceed the screen width then scrolling full left has
the chance to show all Image1, all diff and the left part of Image2.
Similarly scrolling horizontally right should give coverage of the right
most part of Image1, all diff and all Image2.

After that maybe you are into some kind of rapid toggling of images and
keep away from folk with Epilepsy
