Correct

Also correct, because the externals may be from a separate repository and
have to be split up into another commit. This is why the commit dialog shows
you a yellow exclamation mark at the bottom right. It's quite unobtrusive,
but we once had a warning message that had to be clicked away, which people
liked even less.
