Well, since all tags from a certain path should end up in the same column, I think it will work. Columns that are non-tags can be named after their path right away. Columns with tags from path X would preferably be named "Tags from X" or similar. (Maybe it would be wise to avoid the word "Tags" since this is not nesseccarily strictly true as we know... Or maybe close enough to use it?)
 
The trick is to assure that _all_ "tags" originating _from_ a certain path is placed in the same column.
