You could always do what I do - have the taskbar show up on the
left-hand side of the screen (it takes one week to adapt to the change -
I am now roughly twice as productive as I was with the taskbar on the
bottom of the screen). Then just set the width wide enough to display
sufficient information.

Actually, it might be more useful to have different TSVN icons to
distinguish dialog box types of the most commonly used features. One
possible design might be to keep the turtle, but shrink it a few pixels
and move it to the upper-left of the icon space (e.g. 16x16 might
"shrink" to 14x14). Then, overlay a tiny image (e.g. 6x6 or 6x7) in the
lower-right of the icon space that represents the action being taken.
