Now that mail got me really worried. I've spent the last three hours
trying to find out why this happens (it happens for me too with the CL
client). I still haven't a clue.
But: I just tried if the error messages from Subversion suffer from the
same issue. And luckily, that's not the case. The error messages get
translated just fine, without the '?' for special chars.
So it seems this is a problem when converting the UTF8 strings to the
local encoding for the standard output (stdout). I've tried to narrow it
down, and it looks as if the apr functions writing to stdout don't
convert correctly.
String conversion with the Subversion library API functions still work
ok. So it's not really a big problem for TSVN.
