I haven't downloaded the fixed version yet, so I can't see the "by week"
view properly. But here is another alternative: Make the stacked "by
week" view a bargraph instead of a graph with points and lines.

+1. So for "by week" view it is always stacked and for "by author" view
it is never stacked.
